Raise up n Represent is a youth programme that has been designed to give youth a safe and healthy environment in which to relax and socialise. The aim is to support youth in being physically fit, to encourage personal ownership and leadership, and to foster a sense of pride and respect for themselves, and the communities in which they live.
Once trained Raise up crews plan and run social events for other youth.
Raise up crew meet weekly mondays 4.30-5.30pm after leadership training.
Youth Development & Leadership Programme
The Youth Development/leadership programme is action packed, fun, residential weekends including activities like rock climbing and abseiling, and 8 weekly sessions where you can learn a range of skills such as communication, confidence, trust and team work, as you work towards gaining a leadership programme certificate and completing ‘The Young New Zealanders Challenge’ (Duke of Edinburgh's Award).
programme costs $50 including crew t-shirt, ‘The Young New Zealanders Challenge’ Bronze Award registration, residential, transport and food costs.
