OSCAR Out of School Care And Recreation

YMCA Nelson is one of the main providers of OSCAR after-school and holiday programmes in Nelson. We provide quality care for 5-13 year olds with well trained and dedicated staff facilitating the programmes.
Our programmes are OSCAR and CYF certified. Subsidies are available through Work and Income for Working families. For more information about subsidies follow the link or call 0800 774 004.
All programmes offer a variety of quality experiences for children to take part in including, community excursions, sports, arts and crafts, games. Nutritious snacks are also provided.
Our after school and holiday programmes operate from the following three locations, Victory Primary School (Vanguard Street) Nelson Baptist Church (193 Bridge Street) and Brightwater School.
Hours
After school programmes: 3.00pm to 6.00pm. (excluding public holidays)
Holiday programmes: 8.00am to 6.00pm daily. (excluding public holidays)
